After Delhi-6, it is 'Mission Guinness' for Abhishek Bachchan. The actor is on a dream chase for becoming the first actor to make the highest number of public appearances within a span of 12 hours across various cities in the Guinness Book of Records. And all this is part of his promotional campaign for his just-released Delhi-6.
"It's an idea that has been with me for a while ever since I heard about some German actors who set a world record by attending 5 public events in 12 hours. I want to beat their record. I'd do at least 6-7 appearances in 12 hours in six or seven cities," said a happy Abhishek.
Sabbas Joseph, director of Wizcraft International, who would be managing the whole show, says that they are planning to do a noon to midnight campaign that could take Abhi to Gurgaon, Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Chandigarh, Baroda and Mumbai and break the current record set by German actors.
The current Guinness record holders who have made the highest number of public appearances within 12 hours are actors Jorgen Vogel and Daniel Brhl (Germany). They travelled to 5 cities within 12 hours to promote their film Ein Freund von mir (2006).
Will Abhishek make it to the Guinness Book? “Definitely!” say his excited fans and all those who assist him in the endeavour. “Hope so,” replies a humble Abhi. Whether he makes it or not, the very idea of doing such a marathon campaign is to be greatly appreciated. We wish him all success on his mission Guinness!
