After month long controversies on Abhishek Bachan, Aishwarya Rai relationship, they got engaged this Sunday night on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.
The news was confirmed by Big B himself. It is also said that the wedding might take place as soon as February.
The ceremony took place as soon as Aishwarya Rai and Junior Bachan returned from the premiere of the movie Guru in Toronto.
The engagement took place at Aishwarya Rai’s house with the roka ceremony. Later their close friends and family memebers arrived at Bachan’s house at Jalsa to congratulate the couple.
It was said that the auspicious day was chosen because both of them are manglik and according to the Hindu astrology this may have some potential difficulties in the marriage.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple praying for a successful future for the couple.
