He's been singing since Mr Natwarlal in 1978. But now, Big B, after singing his own songs for 30 years, isn't willing to stop short in his tracks. In fact, he's now gone into devotional singing with the 'Hanuman Chalisa' being composed by Aadesh Shrivastava, who calls himself the Big B's 'Hanuman'.
The new chalisa will have a whole lot of male playback singers contributing. But the Big B leads the pack. So happy is the mega-star with Aadesh's work, that he intends to now record a version of the Bhagavad Gita written by Big B's late father Harivanshrai Bachchan with music by Aadesh.
The devoted composer couldn't have hoped for more. "Amitji sang his first Punjabi-pop song for me in Major Saab. Now he's sung his first devotional for me. I also got Abhishek to sing recently."
Jaya and Aishwarya are yet to join Aadesh's crooning club.
