On location at Bangkok Deepika Padukone is staying at a lesser hotel than co-star Akshay. It must a quite a come-down after being treated like a diva in Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om.
The shooting for Chandni Chowk To China is on at Bangkok. While Deepika is staying with the rest of the cast and crew at the Grand Sukhumvit Hotel, lead star Akshay Kumar is living it up at the expensive Four Seasons Hotel.
The Grand Sukhumvit might be a luxury hotel with great facilities, but nothing can beat the Four Seasons Hotel where the rates are almost double those of the Grand Sukhumvit.
A source from Bangkok adds, "Though Director Nikhil is staying at Grand Sukhumvit, it must be quite upsetting for Deepika that she’s not in the same hotel as the male lead."
Sources say the actor had complained to a close friend about this preferential treatment. But she says, "I am not upset. As far as I know, I am in a five-star hotel and it's the same hotel that Nikhil, the producers and the rest of the crew is also staying in. It's the Grand Sukhumvit. I am very comfortable and happy. I am being well taken care of."
