Anurag Basu's Metro, a film about urban relationships, is close to completion, and is in its last schedule. In the last 15 days of shoot, Irrfan Khan's son Ayaan Khan made an unexpected entry in Metro.
Irrfan Khan and Konkana Sen Sharma play a married couple in the film. He meets Konkana through a marriage portal, gets into a blind date, and gets hitched! They have a scene in the film wherein they are riding on a bike with a 3-year old son. They had a child play that role.
Suddenly in the middle of the shoot, the child began to cry. The shoot could not be delayed further. So Irrfan came to the rescue. He asked his 3-year old son Ayaan to do the scene. Ayaan is in playschool and very passionate about bikes. He was thrilled to be in the bike scene with papa dearest! And thus, Ayaan made his acting debut in films with his father.
Metro also features a great spectrum of stars like Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Sharman Joshi, and Anurag's Gangster duo Shiney Ahuja and Kangana Ranaut.
