What follows is a ruthless search for the thief and killer who must be a conspirator amongst them, for whom else could have known about the heist?
Director Sriram Raghavan says, "I grew up on the crime novels of James Hadley Chase, although this movie is not based on any Chase novel." Why is the movie titled as Johnny Gaddar when the movie does not have any character by that name? "Well, it's homage to one of my all-time favorite movies Johnny Mera Naam by the great Vijay Anand. And it's got a reason in the movie too, which you'll have to watch."
