The Unit of Magna films Bhram shooting at Gorai Beach had to a face shocking incident yesterday evening. A romantic shot was being shot between Dino Morea and Sheetal Menon at Gorai Beach. All the necessary legal permission for the shooting was taken and even 3 policemen from the Gorai police station were stationed for security purpose.
Three members of the local mafia, totally drunk, arrived at the beach and disrupted the shooting. They behaved very aggressively with the unit members and did considerable damage to the equipment.
They threatened the unit members and demanded cash for shooting on the beach. When one of the unit members tried to reason it out, the thugs started beating up the director's assistant. It was daylight extortion in the presence of the cops. And instead of protecting the unit, the Gorai policemen stationed there stood there as mute spectators. Instead the men in uniform told the unit to pay off the cash, since the 3 thugs were very influential.
Somehow, the unit diplomatically stopped the shoot. The unit of Bhram then went to the Borivali Police Station and lodged an FIR there, as they felt that Gorai policemen were unable to help them.
An annoyed director Pawan Kaul said, "This is simply a mockery of the system where people who are supposed to protect you support the local mafia. Even though all the legal permission was taken, the cops actually asked us to pay up to resume the shoot. It is a very sad state of affairs. It is disgusting."
