Are Nagesh Kukunoor and Shreyas Talpade getting together again? The director-actor combo has earlier teamed up in Iqbal, Dor and Bombay to Bangkok and there's talk that Kukunoor is planning to cast Shreyas in his next film, based on the life of legendary singer Kishore Kumar. True?
"I too have heard this, although Nagesh hasn't approached me yet. But knowing Nagesh and his penchant for perfection, I'd love to be a part of the project. I can never refuse him," Shreyas tells.
Shreyas has several movies slated for release this year, starting with Paying Guests. Not many know this, but Shreyas has played a 'woman' is almost 60% of this film. "That's what got me hooked. I wanted to play a woman at least once in my career and here I was. We [Javed Jaffrey and Shreyas] had fun dressing up and acting like women. There's a thin line that divides class and crass and we didn't want people to feel disgusted, so we played the parts with the utmost feminine charm," he recalls.
Meanwhile, Shreyas is planning to start [produce] another Marathi film. "I've liked an idea. I'd like to make films in other languages as well, including Hindi. But, right now, it's a Marathi film," he states.
