Those who have seen her playing the smoldering diva in Aitraaz and Don would be pretty surprised by what Priyanka Chopra has in store in her next release. "In Salaam-E-Ishq, I play the role of an item girl who desperately wants to become successful. My character is very funny, lively, and zany.
And yes, I had loads of fun doing the role. It's an ensemble cast. But I'd like to believe my track with Salman is special," says Priyanka. She is casting with Salman in yet another comedy to be released this year. "God Tussi Great Ho is another comedy. And yes, Mr. Bachchan—who else! -- plays God. It is the directional debut of writer Rumi Jaffrey."
She also has under her cap two forthcoming films with Salman but still there are rumours of a serious rift between the two. It's said that Salman had insisted on Katrina Kaif instead of Priyanka for Raj Kumar Santoshi's London Dreams. Dismissing the rumours, Priyanka says, "I couldn't do London Dreams only because of the date problem. Salman and I get along well enough. You've to see our on-screen chemistry in Salaam-e-Ishq and God, Tussi Great Ho."
People are whispering about the off-screen chemistry between Priyanka and the new kick on the block Harman Baweja especially since she stepped in as a last-minute replacement for Kareena in Harman's debut film Love Story 2050.
"The only reason I did Love Story 2050 was because of my role. I got the opportunity to do my first double role. And the two characters, specially the second one will make people sit up and notice. As for stepping into the film so late, I'd always stand by a friend. Why only Harman, I'd bail out any of my friends on a crisis. Just try me," added Priyanka.
