After the phenomenal success of Phoonk, maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is all set to make Phoonk 2, according to reports. That means hero Sudeep gets another opportunity to show his talents in Hindi.  Sudeep’s performance in the film was praised and Ramu also complimented him, saying that he is the right person for the role.

Phoonk deals with black magic and the second part will begin where the first part ended. The climax of Phoonk witnessed the clash of Sudeep and Tantrik Zakir Hussain against the evil Ashwini Kalsekar who performs black magic on Sudeep’s daughter. The film ends when the tantrik destroys Ashwini by killing him.

Phoonk 2 will start with Ashwini’s spirit entering Sudeep’s wife’s body. Obviously Sudeep cannot harm his wife, so he seeks ways to exorcise the spirit.

Ram Gopal Varma is of the opinion that the theme of black magic and scary movies will never go out of vogue and one can keep experimenting with different genres of it.

While he is committed to make Phoonk 2, he also confirms that he will not be making Sarkar 3. The Sarkar series were highly appreciated by critics and public alike. Right after the release of Sarkar 2 ( Sarkar Raj) Ramu had announced his plans for Sarkar 3, but has dropped the project now.
