Shruthi Haasan, the daughter of southern superstar Kamal Haasan, is about to make her debut in a Bollywood film which is still untitled. This film will be directed by Soham Shah, who had been an assistant to Karan Johar and had directed Karan Johar’s Kaal.
Apparently, this film will feature Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Tusshar Kapoor, and Imran Khan (Aamir Khan’s nephew). Shruti Haasan is to be paired up with Imran Khan. This is not the first time she has been approached by Bollywood filmmakers. Despite numerous invitations to act in Hindi films, Shruti Haasan stayed aloof until she decided this script suited her.
Shruti’s father, Kamal Haasan, had acted in a very few Bollywood films like Saagar and Giraftaar, which did well at the box office. He has always been respected by the people of Bollywood and viewed as an experimenting actor. Still, he has not been able to achieve super stardom that he has achieved in the South. It is very surprising that an actor of his calibre did not secure a place in Bollywood.
