The latest issue of a popular Tamil weekly magazine carries an article talking about content spread of the much-hyped and -awaited Superstar Rajinikant movie Sivaji.
This article claims that a US-based website had some pictures of the movie Sivaji, which were not yet released to the public. It is further alleged that someone took these pictures and sent them to Galatta.com, which were then put up on our portal. The allegation is that due to Galatta.com carrying these pictures from Sivaji, many publications "lifted" these images and published them, thereby diluting the hype around the movie.
We, at Galatta.com, would like to clarify that:
Galatta.com, being South India's premier movie portal, is avidly browsed by a wide spectrum of people - including Tamil publications like Anandha Vikatan and others. This allegation (that due to Galatta.com carrying these pictures from Sivaji, many publications "lifted" these images and published them, thereby diluting the hype around the movie), is totally wrong, malicious, and without any merit. In fact, we at Galatta.com would like to clarify a few points to our fans, users and the entire industry:
1. Galatta.com is so huge and respected because of the ethical manner in which we receive and use our content - we ensure that we get only approved material from people in charge of any movie, or the celebrities themselves. No underhanded dealings without the producers' or the stars' knowledge as many websites are alleged to be doing.
2. Whatever material we have received on Sivaji the movie is NOT lifted from other websites (perhaps it was the other way around) and has been given to us by authorised content providers and/ or with the producers' complete knowledge and goodwill. WE CHALLENGE ANYBODY TO PROVE OTHERWISE.
3. All material on Galatta.com is the property of Galatta.com and the use of such content by any other media, without our permission or authorisation, duly acknowledging galatta.com as the source, is solely at their own risk. So, if any content from Galatta.com has spread to other publications, one must seek explanations from such publications and not from Galatta.com.
