It was showbiz all the way to the red carpet at the Pan Bahar Max Stardust Awards 2009 held at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra on Sunday, 15th February. Hosted by Tusshar Kapoor and Minissha Lamba, it was a star-studded event which brought together the who's who of the celebrity galaxy.
The guest list was as long as the awards list. But the prominent Bollywoodians present at the event were Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, Kajol, Priyanka Chopra, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowarikar and his wife, Dev Anand, Farhan Akhtar, Vivek Oberoi, Amrita Rao, Asin, Celina Jaitley, Neha Dhupia, Dino Morea, Koena Mitra, Fardeen Khan and his wife, among others.
The winner's list brought more cheer than disappointments. Many new faces to Bollywood were recognized and appreciated. 'Best Actor Award' went to Amitabh Bachchan for Last Lear; 'Best Actress Award' was bagged by Amrita Rao for Welcome to Sajjanpur. By Reader's Choice, Priyanka Chopra got 'Star of the Year' (Female) Award for Fashion and Hrithik Roshan bagged 'Star of the Year (Male)' for Jodhaa Akbar. Ghajini was declared the 'Hottest New Film' while A Wednesday was given the 'Best Film Award'.
