The Chennai premiere of Ram Gopal Verma ki Aag was held at Sathyam Cinemas.
The film, inspired from the seventies cult film Sholay, has the Jai of Sholay, Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of Babban (read Gabbar Singh) in Aag. The film was released in Tamil as Agni and Telugu as Aggi.
The other stars in the film include Mohanlal, Ajay Devgan, Sushmita Sen, Nisha Kothari (Amoha from the Tamil film Jay Jay) and debutant Prashant Raj. Urmila Matondkar and Abhishek Bachchan have done the an item number.
The celebrites present at the premiere were Revathy, Srikanth-Vandana, SS Music VJs, National Award winner singer Naresh Iyer, Actors Jeeva and Bharath, upcoming actress Sona and others.
