If you thought that the failure of a few animation films has put a stop to this trend in India, think again. Yash Raj and Walt Disney Pictures are readying their first animation movie Roadside Romeo, while Karan Johar is remaking his blockbuster hit Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in the animation format, called Koochie Koochie Hota Hai.
And now Nikhil Advani has started an animation film called Ab Dilli Door Nahin. The film stars Govinda, Akshaye, Suniel, Urmila, Ayesha and Boman in lead roles. What's the film all about?
“It's a 3D animation film that traces the journey of four animals/ birds from Mumbai to Delhi. Akshaye is a parrot, Govinda a monkey, Boman a bear, Urmila a leopard, Suniel also a leopard and Ayesha a cub,” Nikhil divulges.
Ab Dilli Door Nahin is produced by Nikhil Advani and Mukesh Talreja jointly, scripted by Suresh Nair and Girish Dhamija. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy score the music of the film slated for 2009 release.
