Ashok Kumar and Madhubala starrer classic Howrah Bridge will be once again pleasing the audience with a refreshing animated look. The animated version will be produced by PNC.
Recently, the black and white classic Naya Daur was released in colour and the film did pull the masses to cinema halls again. Now, the animated version of Howrah Bridge will definitely ring the bell. Helen with her charm at peak in ‘Mera Naam Chin Chin Choo’ and stunning Madhubala in ‘Aiye, Meherbaan’ will refresh the old memories in the hearts of audiences.
Attaining the rights of the film is a dream come true for Pritish Nandy, who always wanted to make an animated version of the classic. Thus, the film will be Pritish Nandy’s tribute to Mr. Shakti Samant. Also sharing the same feeling with him is Manny Bains, the chairman of the company taking care of animation, promises to bring something which will draw the younger generation to witness this classic. And as far as the loyal old audience is concerned, he assures the classic will strike the same chords which it struck 50 years ago.
