Preity, SRK walk away with the Lycra MTV Style awards

The Lycra MTV Style awards, the only award show in India which gives awards for being stylish and fashionable, concluded last week. It was a grand affair that was attended by many high profile celebrities from all walks of life. The evergreen Rishi Kapoor was bestowed the Maha Style Icon of the Year award. Preity Zinta & Shahrukh Khan were voted the Most Stylish Person in Films category in the male and female categories respectively, with their movie Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna also winning Most Stylish Film. Hosted by the suave Karan Johar, who was ably assisted by glamorous MTV VJs Anusha and Sophie, the show had trademark MTV wackiness effortlessly merged with music, style and fashion and punctuated with show-stopping displays. In an explosive finale, the stunning Preity Zinta, eternally sexy Salman Khan and king of cool, Akshay Kumar walked the ramp as a special promotion for their forthcoming film Jaan-e-Mann. Also present at the event were Arjun Rampal, Ameesha Patel and Fardeen Khan, along with a host of many other celebrities.
