Chennai-based ace cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran has added yet another feather to his already impressive cap. His still from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s visual spectacle Saawariya has found a place in the official ‘2008 Kodak International Cinematographers Calendar’.
What makes it all the more special is the fact that this is the first time that an Indian Director of Photography (DOP) has been featured by Kodak in their annual calendar. Ravi K. Chandran, whose works include films like Dil Chahta Hai, Yuva, Paheli, Fanaa, Black and now, Saawariya, felt it was an honour to share space with some of his idols (the world’s leading cinematographers) in the calendar.
On the work front, he has just completed In Such Times, the directorial debut of actress Nandita Das, and is also working with Aamir Khan in the Hindi remake of Ghajini.
