Actors turning producers is not new to moviedom. In fact, for an established star, it is a natural transition. Saif Ali Khan is now stepping into the production turf. Love Aaj Kal in which he is pairing up with Deepika Padukone will be Saif's maiden production venture. What encouraged him take this decision? "After working for eighteen years, I want to be more creatively involved. Earlier, the market and the environment in the industry was different. Now I think I can handle it," says Saif. Love Aaj Kal is a contemporary love story and is directed by Imtiaz Ali.
